ENHANCED NUTRIENT REMOVAL UPGRADE

GHD, an environmental engineering consulting firm located in Bowie, Maryland and Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania is seeking qualified Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises capable of completing
Structural engineering services related to the design and construction phase of the City of Frederick
WWTP ENR Upgrade.
Structural
The scope of work will include but is not limited to 1) reviewing geotechnical reports; 2) designing
concrete structures including foundation for buildings and concrete tanks; 3) and assisting with
construction cost estimates. Firm will be responsible for developing design, construction drawings and
specifications, and providing bid services.
The overall upgrade includes:
Fine screen modifications
Influent pump station facility
modifications
Wet weather treatment system
Wet weather treatment system pump
station
Flow equalization and primary clarifier
modifications
Bioreactor influent splitter box
Bioreactor modifications
Blower modifications
Bio-augmentation reactor facility
Chemical facilities modifications
Denitrification filters and pump station
Methanol feed facilities
Post aeration modifications
Effluent flow meter modifications
Diesel generators
Administration Building modifications
SCADA modifications
Civil site work
Site electrical
Centrifuge dewatering facility
Gravity belt thickener

Bidder Qualifications- Bidder shall have completed at least three (3) municipal water or
wastewater facilities of scope similar to that defined in RFP #12-D.
If you are interested in being part of the GHD Team for this project please submit the following:
1. Expression of interest
2. Relevant qualifications for (3) water or wastewater facilities of scope similar to that defined in
RFP#12-D including description of work, approximate amount of your firm’s contract and date the
Work was completed.
3. Resumes of proposed individuals who will be working on the project (limited to 2 pages).
4. Brief company description.
5. If applicable, a list of any other relevant projects and/or City of Frederick projects (past or
current).
