TITLE: Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Center for Health Promotion - Maryland Rape and Sexual Assault Prevention Program (RSAPP) -- Promotional Items

BACKGROUND

The issue of sexual violence occurring is one of great concern given that an estimated one out of every eight adult women, or about 260,000 adult women, in Maryland, has been the victim of forcible rape sometime in her lifetime. (Ruggiero, K.J., & Kilpatrick, D.G. Rape in Maryland: A Report to the State. Charleston, SC: National Violence Against Women Prevention Research Center, Medical University of South Carolina 2003). In light of this and other statistics as well as anecdotal information on the prevalence of sexual violence, there is a need to address this issue in the state of Maryland.

In an effort to educate the general public, a variety of educational materials and promotional items displaying prevention messages and program information will be distributed during health fairs and statewide conferences attended by the Maryland Rape and Sexual Assault Prevention Program.

SCOPE OF WORK

RSAPP is seeking vendors to supply selected promotional items. Orders must be placed prior to October 31, 2010.
CONTRACT TERM

The term of this contract shall be from October 12, 2010 to November 5, 2010. Vendor must invoice DHMH by October 31, 2010 and all items must be delivered to Tiwanica Moore, 300 W. Preston St, 4th Floor, Baltimore, MD 21201 by November 5, 2010.

BID SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Interested parties must submit bids online using e-Maryland Marketplace.

BID SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Bids must be received on e-Maryland by Friday, October 8, 2010 at 9:00AM in order to be considered.
