I. SUMMARY STATEMENT



The State Highway Administration Fairland Shop is soliciting bids for a Contractor to provide litter pickup, hand mowing and trimming in Montgomery County. The work shall be performed every two weeks for a total of 10 cycles from June 14, 2010 to November 12, 2010. The locations are MD 187 From MD 188 to I-495 (2.4 ac), ICC (SHA Right-a-way) at 14017 Notley Rd. (0.3 ac) MD 191 at I-495 two islands (1.0 ac) MD 355 from Randolph Rd. to I-495 (5.4 ac). MD 396 from Little Falls Pkwy to DC line (0.4 ac) and MD 410 from Larry Pl to Sundale Dr. (3.7 ac)



II. SMALL BUSINESS RESERVE PROCUREMENT



This is a Small Business Reserve Procurement for which award will be limited to Lead Small Business vendors. Only vendors that meet the statutory requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article Subsections 14-501 – 14-505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and who are registered with the Department of General Services Small Business Reserve Program are eligible for award of a contract.

NOTE: The vendor is solely responsible for ensuring any information sent to the Procurement Officer by FAX has been received by the Procurement Officer.



No Pre-Bid conference will be held.



IV. BID DUE DATE



The Bids must be received by the Procurement Officer or their designee, at the State Highway Administration offices located at Fairland Shop 12020 Plum Orchard Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20904 on or before June 7, 2010 at 2:00 PM local time.



Bids shall be opened publicly at the time, date and location designated above.
