Lewis Contractors has been selected as the Construction Manager for the above referenced project and would appreciate a proposal for your scope of work. BIDS ARE DUE To Lewis Contractors on Thursday March 31, 2011 @ 1:00 PM. ALL BIDS MUST BE ENCLOSED IN A SEALED ENVELOPE AND DELIVERED TO THE OFFICE OF LEWIS CONTRACTORS.



Plans and specifications are available for viewing in our plans room or you can download them from our FTP site by following these instructions: DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS: In internet explorer, go to http://ftp.hhlewis.com. You will be prompted to enter a username and password. FTP username: SUSAN (ALL CAPS), FTP password: LEWIS678 (ALL CAPS). DO NOT CLICK THE “REMEMBER ME “BUTTON. Click the file you want to download and click “Download” at the bottom of the screen. Click “Save” and tell computer where to save it, then go to that spot and open the file. Files are located under the project name.



Project Description: The project involves interior renovations to both buildings which total approximately 85,000 square feet. Also included is the addition of stair towers, elevator towers and exterior masonry/roofing restoration. This project is seeking to achieve LEED Silver Certification.



The scope of work includes selective demolition, building demolition, site clearing, earthwork, storm drains, asphalt paving, concrete paving, unit pavers, landscaping, cast-in-place concrete, gypsum cement underlayment, new unit masonry, historic restoration of brick, terra cotta and cast stone, structural steel, steel decking, metal fabrications, metal stairs, steel railings, expansion joint systems, rough carpentry, sheathing, architectural woodwork, membrane waterproofing, insulation, fluid membrane air barriers, historic slate restoration, SBS membrane roofing, metal roofing, flashing & trim, joint sealants, steel doors & frames, wood doors, aluminum entrances and storefronts, wood windows, door hardware, glazing, plaster repair, gypsum board systems, ceramic tile, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpet, painting, toilet compartments, louvers, signage, fire extinguishers, toilet accessories, floor mats, window treatment, lightning protection, security & access control systems, fire alarm, wet sprinkler systems, electric traction elevators, plumbing, HVAC and electrical work.



A PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD TUESDAY MARCH 15, 2011 @ 3:30 PM. MEET AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO RICHMOND HALL. Parking is difficult, so come early.
