Congratulations 2010 Woman of the Year Awards Winners!

The Baltimore Regional Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-BRC) has announced 5 winners of its 2010 Woman of the Year Awards, celebrating excellence, commitment and ingenuity.

Winners in 5 award categories “have forged their own paths to success and are recognized for their dedication to entrepreneurship,” said NAWBO-BRC President, L. Content McLauglin. “The awards are bestowed upon outstanding women entrepreneurs and corporate partners in the Greater Baltimore Regional area. We are honored to have them as members of NAWBO-BRC.”

Winners this year are:

Business Woman of the Year: recognized for her dedication to business growth, employee development, owner and personal accomplishments, community involvement and advocacy for women in business.
Monyka Berrocosa, MyCity4Her, Inc.

Corporate Partner of the Year Award: recognized as an organization whose vision provides opportunities for women; demonstrates a willingness to devote time, energy and financial resources to programs benefiting women and women in business.
Beverlee Barthel, Legacy Photography by Beverlee

Mentor: recognized for understanding the value and responsibility of helping others achieve success. Invests the time and energy in encouraging, advising, and giving others a helping hand up.
Carla Nelson, Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Minority & Women-Owned Business Development

Rising Star: recognized as an emerging entrepreneurial women business owner who has been in business less than two years and is already demonstrating strong growth and is expected to sustain long term success through sound business practices and a commitment to excellence in all endeavors.
Susan Katz, The Growth Coach, Inc.

Trailblazer: recognized for her trailblazing spirit, demonstrated by the companies' business performance, innovation, growth and personal service to the community.
Kathleen Dorsey, Global Results
