NOTICE - SMALL BUSINESS RESERVE



This is a Small Business Reserve Procurement for which award will be limited to Certified Small Business vendors. Only vendors that meet the statutory requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article Subsections 14-501 – 14-505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and who are registered with the Department of General Services Small Business Reserve Program are eligible for award of a contract.

I. SUMMARY STATEMENT



The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) State Highway Administration (SHA), Cecil county Maintenance Facilities have a need for a service contract to cover all maintenance, repairs, additions or installations necessary to plumbing at the following locations:

Elkton Maintenance Facility located at 2024 E. Old Philadelphia Road, Elkton, Maryland

Wards Hill Facility located at 625 Cecilton Warwick Road, Cecilton, Maryland

Sylmar Facility located at 909 Telegraph Road, Rising Sun, Maryland

The sole point of contact for purposes of this IFB is the Procurement Officer Mike Lewis or designee Jesse Snyder. The Procurement Officer may be contacted at telephone number 410-398-1565 between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. or by FAX 410-398-0527 or by e-mail at gholsey@sha.state.md.us.



NOTE: The vendor is solely responsible for ensuring any information sent to the Procurement Officer by FAX has been received by the Procurement Officer.







III. BID DUE DATE

The Bids must be received by the Procurement Officer, Mr. Mike Lewis or their designee, Jesse Snyder at the State Highway Administration offices located at 2024 E. Old Philadelphia Road, Elkton, MD 21921 on or before 1:00 PM on April 15, 2008 local eastern time.



Vendors are responsible for assuring that their bids are delivered to the specified location before the deadline for receipt of bids, including those delivered by U.S. Postal Service.
