Description: The Maryland Transit Administration is seeking a qualified Contractor to ensure that MTA facilities, as listed in this IFB, are in compliance with applicable State of Maryland and Federal environmental regulations pertaining to UST and AST systems. The Contractor shall ensure that all tank systems meet original equipment manufacture (OEM) specifications, COMAR 26.10 (Oil Pollution and Tank Management) requirements and the Steel Tank Institute (STI) standards for UST and AST systems, respectively. The Contractor shall maintain UST systems so that they are in compliance with and can be certified by a Maryland Certified Inspector in accordance with COMAR 26.10.03.10. The Contractor shall maintain UST system compliance in accordance with 40 CFR Part 280 and 281 and COMAR 26.10.02 through 26.10.11. The AST systems shall meet compliance standards in accordance with SP-001 (Standard for The Inspection of Aboveground Storage Tanks, 4th Edition Issued July 2006). These are the minimum requirements that will be met and the Contractor shall ensure that systems meet all new requirements and standards as they become effective. The Contractor shall also inspect, calibrate, and conduct emergency and routine maintenance in order to ensure the regulatory compliance of these systems.
