MINORITY & LOCAL BUSINESS INITIATIVE
The Board is continually seeking to provide services, program enhancements and procurement opportunities to help ensure the success of its qualified local minority and qualified local small businesses. The Board strongly encourages its Contractors to maximize the use of qualified local minority business and qualified local small business enterprises on projects. Prime contractors are encouraged to seek and utilize locally based minority and women-owned subcontractors from within the geographical boundaries of Prince George’s County. To be responsive in the proposal or proposal submittal, the respondent or respondent shall either maximize the use of qualified local minority business and/or qualified local small business enterprises on each project or be able to verify, through documentation that good faith efforts were engaged to maximize the use of qualified local minority business and/or qualified local small business enterprises.
