THURMONT WWTP ENR UPGRADE
CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES
ELECTRICAL RELATED CONSTRUCTION PHASE ENGINEERING SERVICES
Stearns & Wheler GHD, an environmental engineering consulting firm located in Bowie, Maryland, is seeking qualified Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises capable of completing construction oversight related to the electrical and instrumentation and controls required to the implement the Enhanced Nutrient Removal (ENR) Upgrade to the 1.0 mgd Thurmont Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Stearns & Wheler GHD is contracted with the Town of Thurmont for the design and construction phase services of the ENR Upgrade project. The estimated construction cost is over $4.5 million. The Contractor NTP is anticipated by May of 2010 and construction duration is anticipated to last 18 months. The Scope of Services for the electrical and I&C shall include, but is not limited, to the following.
Construction Oversight Services:

Provide a part-time resident representative (approximately 8 hours per week) to observe installation of electrical and I&C facilities.

Complete daily field reports for each day onsite.

Maintain electrical and I&C related correspondence in the field trailer.

Attend progress meetings.

Review equipment delivered to site to ensure conformance with approved shop drawings.

Maintain electrical test reports.

Maintain electrical Record Drawings.

Assist with preparation and updates to punchlist.

Assist in start-up testing and training.
